I am writing this letter in order to submit my sincere recommendation of a student I had at XXXX XXXXXXX High School. His name is XXXXX XXXX, and I feel it necessary to recommend him due to his exceptional attitude and abilities. I feel compelled to submit support for him because I had him as a sophomore in my Spanish III Honors Class and as a junior in my Spanish IV Honors Class. I am recommending him since I am confident of his good character and attitude, and by the many things he did while he was a student of mine. He truly cares about his grades and has always made a sincere effort to keep up his level of study. His willingness to volunteer by helping others and his conscientious preparation and ability to follow directions, take suggestions in a constructive manner, and do what it takes to succeed I found to be quite admirable. He stayed after class on many occasions in the spirit of cooperation and thirst for learning.
He has volunteered to help the Kindergarten Class at XXXXXX Elementary School during his busy high school schedule. I am particularly impressed and pleased to observe his pleasant and positive attitude and demeanor. He still visits me quite often and I find that to be an indication of his respect and mature character. He has indicated to me that he is interested in majoring in engineering and I feel he would be well suited and capable of succeeding in that field of interest. XXXXX was born in India and moved to the US in 1998.
During Middle School he attended an after-school program called the Technology Student Association (TSA) which was an engineering/technology group. This I found to be quite ambitious for his early age and school level, indicating his degree of interest and desire. He appears to be quite enthusiastic and has been active in the Pep Rally, helping the class officers for grades 9 thru 12, grade 12 Key Club, S.A.D.D, and Track. I would appreciate your consideration of XXXXX as a viable candidate for your college program. Thank you for your time and consideration.
